LCWSA Tap Agreement
This agreement is to inform you of the installation process for a new tap/meter as well as the consequences of damaging the water system and equipment during your construction process.
You should inform your contractors of these warnings.
TAP & METER INSTALLATION
After paying for your service and picking up your stake, please set out your stake where you want the meter to go. LCWSA will schedule a work order for the tap and meter installation.
The stake must be placed:
- Within 10 ft of the road
- Where it is unlikely to be run over/damaged (far away from the driveway, etc.)
If no stake is out when we arrive, a trip fee will be billed, and we will not come back until you have informed us that the stake has been placed.
DAMAGES
- You/your contractor CANNOT tamper with any LCWSA assets (Examples: adding or cutting tubing, couplings, or curb stops to an LCWSA service line, removing backflow, connecting to the meter without a backflow, etc.).
- If at any time LCWSA find missing, broken, or damaged items provided by us, you will be held responsible for the cost of replacing and repairing the damaged items. (Examples: meter, antenna, meter box, backflow preventor, curb stop, etc.)
THEFT & CROSS-CONTAMINATION
If LCWSA finds theft or cross-contamination at the property, our Theft & Cross-Contamination Policy (listed below) will apply, and you will be subject to additional damage charges and disconnection of service until all charges are paid.
